Large bronze sculpture after Frederic Remington’s iconic Western work "The Broncho Buster," originally modeled in 1895. Depicts a cowboy attempting to control a rearing, bucking horse, with finely rendered Western attire, tack and dramatic movement. Finished with a dark patina and mounted on a polished black marble base bearing a brass "Bronco Buster title plaque. Measures approximately 23 inches tall, 17 inches wide and 8 inches deep. This is a later decorative casting, likely dating from the second half of the 20th century, and is not represented as an original lifetime Remington bronze. No foundry mark or limited-edition number was observed in the provided photographs. Displays surface wear, dust and visible scuffing or residue on the marble base. Heavy piece.
