Vintage Pistol-Form Flashlight Gun

Era: Circa 1930s–1940s Unusual vintage nickel-plated metal flashlight designed in the form of a pistol. Measures approximately 5.5 inches long and features a tubular flashlight body, textured pistol grip, wire trigger guard and trigger-operated light mechanism. No maker’s markings were located. A similar 5.5-inch model appears in period references as a "Flash-Lite Gun," with examples documented as early as the 1930s. The consignor reports that the collector purchased this example during the 1970s for $45. The original handwritten collector tag is included. Age-related finish wear, scratches, oxidation and areas of green verdigris are present. Operating condition has not been verified. This is a novelty flashlight and not a firearm.
