Lot of four vintage Unexcelled "UNXLD" Automatic pressed-steel toy cap pistols, each accompanied by an original illustrated cardboard box. Boxes advertise “The Unexcelled Automatic - The Shiny Big Pistol” and retain printed roll-cap loading instructions inside. Manufactured by the Unexcelled company, known for fireworks, toy caps and cap pistols. Estimated circa 1930s-1940s. These are vintage roll-cap toys and are not functional firearms. Pistols exhibit varying degrees of surface oxidation, finish loss, scratches, discoloration and storage wear. Original boxes are heavily worn with stains, creases, tears, separated seams and missing or weakened flaps. Firing mechanisms have not been tested, and no caps are included.
