World War II-era U.S. M3 fighting knife featuring a double-edge spear-point blade, stacked leather washer grip, steel guard and metal pommel. Includes a U.S. M8 composition scabbard manufactured by Beckwith Manufacturing Company with web belt hanger and retaining strap. * Approximately 13 inches long overall in scabbard * Approximately 11.5 inches long out of scabbard * Approximately 6.5-inch blade * Stacked leather washer grip * U.S. M8 scabbard marked "B.M. Co." * Beckwith Manufacturing Company scabbard * Web belt hanger and snap retaining strap * Scabbard appears to have an M8A1-style extended belt hanger * No clearly legible knife-maker marking was located * Blade exhibits polishing, scratches, staining, finish loss and edge wear * Leather grip washers exhibit cracking, separation, darkening and wear * Guard and pommel exhibit patina, oxidation and finish wear * Scabbard and webbing exhibit scratches, discoloration, fraying and age-related wear * Please examine all photographs closely for markings and condition This item came from a collector’s estate.
