Vintage Schrade-Walden automatic paratrooper-style knife measuring approximately 7.25 inches open. Tang is marked "SCHRADE WALDEN / N.Y. U.S.A." The knife has dark jigged handle scales, metal bolster, bail, push-button automatic opening mechanism, and sliding safety. This pattern closely matches the Schrade-Walden Model 155 paratrooper switchblade, a post-WWII military-style automatic knife generally associated with the late 1940s to early 1950s. Collector references show Model 155 examples around 7 3/8 inches overall, with jigged handle scales, bail, and the same Schrade-Walden tang marking. Blade shows noticeable age, scratching, sharpening wear, patina, and surface discoloration. Handle scales and metal hardware show age-related wear.
