Early Canadian Mark VII bolt-action .22 caliber sporting rifle, likely manufactured by Tobin Arms in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, during the early 20th century. The faint barrel markings prevent positive confirmation of the manufacturer. This is the lightweight Canadian Mark VII sporting rifle and should not be confused with the later Lee-Enfield Canadian C No.7 military training rifle. Features a wood stock, fixed front sight, adjustable rear sight and detachable-magazine action. No serial number is visible, which appears consistent with other known examples. This rifle is incomplete and missing the bolt and detachable magazine. Shows considerable finish loss, surface oxidation, dark patina, scratches, dents and wear to the metal and wood.
