Vintage 1911 South Bend Watch Co. grade 211 model 1 mechanical open-face pocket watch featuring a 16-size base metal case. The interior caseback highlights a satin finish stamped with the signature "KEYSTONE WATCHCASE GUARANTEED SILVEROID GENUINE" scales trademark logo alongside production case serial number 858283 and hand-etched watchmaker service logs. The watch houses a high-grade American-made mechanical manual-wind movement carrying movement serial number 620899, a native 17 jewels configuration, a 3/4 plate layout beautifully adorned with a nickel finish and refined damaskeened waves, an unadjusted balance assembly, and plate engravings reading "SOUTH BEND WATCH CO. IND. U.S.A." The watch features a severely chipped and damaged white porcelain enamel dial with bold black Arabic numeral markers, red marginal five-minute intervals, a sunken sub-seconds register, and a missing hour hand.This mechanical pocket watch is running well as of the time of listing, though a total dial replacement or repair and a professional service are required for accurate timekeeping.
