POND MANDARIN DUCK PATTERN COVERED PLUM VASE. <br>Height:30cm (11.81in) , Diameter:14cm (5.51in) Tall stately plum?form vase with small mouth, full shoulder, tapering body and foot ring, fitted with a cover topped by jewel?shaped knob painted in yellow and red. The cover is decorated with floral sprigs. Double bands of underglaze?blue plantain?leaf motifs run around shoulder and lower body. The main body is painted in blue?and?white combined with wucai polychrome palette, depicting mandarin ducks swimming amid flourishing lotus pond with leaves, blossoms and water weeds. The cobalt blue is rich, complemented by vivid red, green and yellow enamels creating a lively picturesque scene. It has a sandy unglazed base with antique foreign collection wax seal affixed.
