A three-quarter bound red morocco edition of Louis Hémon's Maria Chapdelaine, published by La Renaissance du Livre, Paris, 1922, numbered 253 from a limited edition of 1,000 on papier vélin pur fil Lafuma, featuring original woodcut illustrations by painter-illustrator-engraver Gérard Cochet (French, 1888-1969). Condition noted: the volume displays light rubbing along the leather spine joints and corners, with minor foxing to the internal pages.
