An early 18th century leather bound Latin treatise on mathematics titled Arithmeticae Theoria et Praxis by Flemish Jesuit mathematician André Tacquet (1612-1660). Published in Amsterdam by Franciscus van-der Plaats in 1704 (M. D. CCIV.). Complete with folding engraved mathematical diagrams, 6 1/2 x 4 inches. Condition noted: bound in full dark leather showing heavy age wear, surface scuffing, edge rubbing, and spine cracking; internal pages show minor toning and light foxing.
