Avon Snowlady hand-painted ceramic serving bowl, the first edition in the 2002 President's Club Holiday Gift Collection, complete in the original box. Three snowlady figures in blue knit caps, wire-rim glasses, scarves and mittens kneel around a shallow round bowl and hold it up between them; one carries a small yellow Avon tote at her side. The piece is glazed white with soft blue and pearlized highlights. The enclosed letter from Brian Connolly, President of Avon North America, credits the design to Don Sheffler, the illustrator known for the Mrs. Albee artwork. The box is marked Manufactured in China, Avon Products, Inc. Distr., FSC number 15525-1, with the note that the piece is hand wash only and not for microwave or dishwasher use. The ruler shows the group at about 7.5 inches across. Condition is excellent, no chips or cracks visible, still in its factory plastic, with box, styrofoam and letter all present. First editions are the pieces collectors chase when building out a President's Club holiday run. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
