Four small vintage kitchen and decorative pieces in ceramic and wood. (1) Oval pottery dish in a near-black glaze with a rooster modeled in relief across the face, about 4 1/2 inches long, the back left unglazed with small raised feet and no maker mark visible. (2) White ceramic fish-shaped grater dish with rows of raised teeth, impressed JAPAN on the underside, about 5 1/2 inches long; graters like this were a common mid-century Japanese import used for ginger, garlic, and hard cheese. (3) Hourglass egg timer with blue sand in a turned wood frame, about 3 1/2 inches tall, the sand running freely. (4) White ceramic garlic keeper modeled as a garlic bulb with a lift-off top and the word GARLIC lettered in blue on the side; a hairline crack runs down from the rim of the base, so treat that piece as display only. The other three are sound with light soiling and surface wear. Condition is good overall and fair for the garlic keeper because of the crack. Sold as-is.
