Aladdin Vintage Domed Metal Lunchbox

Domed-top steel lunch box embossed across the back Made by Aladdin Industries Inc, Nashville, Tenn, U.S.A. Aladdin supplied these dome workman's boxes to factory, rail and field crews for decades, and the same Nashville plant produced the character lunch kits that drive today's lunch box market, which makes a marked Aladdin worker box a recognizable piece for collectors. The box measures roughly 11 and one half inches wide, has two nickel plated latches that still close and hold, a wire bail handle with a molded plastic grip, and a white painted interior with the wire brackets that carried a vacuum bottle - no bottle is included. Condition is fair to good and honest: the painted exterior has heavy scuffing, scratches and chipping with surface rust along the edges, the rim and the latch plates, and the interior paint is chipped near the hinge.
