Vintage Doll in Crocheted Dress and 2 Pop-Up Cards

Small doll in a hand-crocheted cream dress with multicolor trim, together with two antique die-cut pop-up greeting cards. The doll stands roughly 5 to 6 inches, with molded and painted reddish brown hair, painted blue side-glancing eyes and jointed arms. The head and face carry the fine crackle typical of composition and early painted dolls rather than the smooth glaze of porcelain, so the consignor listing calling this a porcelain doll is not supported by what the photos show. (1) A die-cut embossed pop-up card with a girl beside a birdhouse and doves, lettered To My Valentine and marked printed in Germany. (2) A second embossed pop-up card with roses on a trellis and a dove carrying a letter, lettered Loving Greetings; the consignor listing described a nativity scene, which does not appear in these photos. Both cards have easel backs, age toning, edge wear and small paper losses, with an old tape repair on the back of the rose card. Condition is fair overall. German die-cut pop-up cards of this type date to the early 1900s and are collected in their own right. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
