Pair of Ford Thunderbird wheel covers in bright chrome-look stainless, built with the turbine-style slotted vane ring Ford used on its full-size Thunderbirds. The black center emblem on each reads THUNDERBIRD twice around a stylized bird and dart motif, and both emblems are intact, bright and fully legible. The faces are shiny with light swirl scratches and scattered rubbing from use. Both outer rims carry brown surface rust and staining around the edge, heavier on one of the two, and the reverse sides are dull gray with the retaining tabs in place. A valve stem notch is present on each. No ruler is shown in the photos, so the diameter is not documented; bidders restoring a car should confirm the size against their own wheel before bidding. Wheel covers like these usually turn up one at a time, so a matched pair with clean, readable center emblems is the part that is genuinely hard to find. Condition is good, with the rim rust the main flaw. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
