A set of four hand-carved stone sculptures depicting stylized turtles, featuring one large central figure and three smaller matching figures. The sculptures are fashioned from a dark, mottled green-to-black stone, consistent with serpentine or soapstone. Each piece is rendered in a simplified, rounded form with a high-polish finish on the upper portions, contrasting with the rough-hewn, unpolished gray stone of the bases. Decorative elements include incised circular eyes and spiral patterns on the heads and shells. The undersides of the pieces show textured stone with no visible maker marks or signatures. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Large figure: Length approx. 3 in Small figures: Length approx. 1.25 in. Condition: The set is in good condition overall. There are minor surface scuffs and small nicks along the unpolished stone bases, consistent with the natural material and handling. No apparent repairs or structural damage are present.
