LOT OF SIX HARDBOUND BOOKS - 1930s WILL ROGERS BIOGRAPHY, ERMA BOMBECK, CATHERINE MARSHALL, NORMAN COUSINS, BERNIE SIEGEL, AND A FRANCES PARKINSON KEYES IRISH NOVEL A six-book hardbound lot with real Oklahoma appeal at its center: the cloth-bound P. J. O'Brien biography WILL ROGERS - AMBASSADOR OF GOOD WILL, PRINCE OF WIT AND WISDOM, with an appreciation by Lowell Thomas, in a handsome blue cloth binding pictorially stamped in black with a winged mask, a lariat, and a lone horseman on a hilltop. Around it are five more hardbacks spanning humor, inspiration, popular medicine, and fiction: FOREVER, ERMA by Erma Bombeck, MEETING GOD AT EVERY TURN by Catherine Marshall (inscribed in ink on the front free endpaper, "To Joann, With All My Love, Mom."), ANATOMY OF AN ILLNESS AS PERCEIVED BY THE PATIENT by Norman Cousins, LOVE, MEDICINE & MIRACLES by Bernie S. Siegel, M.D., and a green cloth novel gilt-stamped on the spine THE HERITAGE, with a decorative armorial crest on the front board and a full illustrated "Plan of Cloneen Estate" endpaper map. Five of the six retain their pictorial dust jackets; the green cloth volume is shown without one. Together this is a good shelf-filler group for a reader, a resale bookseller, or a decorator who wants period cloth and jacketed hardbacks, with the Will Rogers volume standing on its own for Oklahoma and western collectors. Bidders following the book and paper lots in this sale should also review the Who's Who volumes, the cookbook groups, and the recipe file lot offered nearby. Note that jacket edge wear, a price sticker, an owner's bookplate, and an ink gift inscription are present as detailed below. Sold as a lot of 6 books, as pictured. Description Will Rogers, P. J. O'Brien: blue cloth hardback, no dust jacket present, front board stamped in black "WILL ROGERS / AMBASSADOR OF GOOD WILL / PRINCE OF WIT AND WISDOM / by P. J. O'BRIEN / WITH AN APPRECIATION BY LOWELL THOMAS" over a lariat, winged-mask, and horseman design. Rear board is plain blue cloth. Front pastedown carries a color EX LIBRIS bookplate showing a gold galleon under sail, with a handwritten owner name that is too faint to read reliably in the photographs supplied, so no name is claimed. Interior sample pages photographed are pages 82-83, "AN ACTOR OF RARE TALENT" and "ROGERS IN THE MOVING PICTURES," discussing Rogers' Fox Film work, Judge Priest, Ah, Wilderness, and the ten pictures contracted at the time of his death. No title page or copyright page was photographed, so the printing year and publisher are not stated here and are not claimed. Forever, Erma - Erma Bombeck: white pictorial dust jacket with a color portrait, subtitled "BEST-LOVED WRITING FROM AMERICA'S FAVORITE HUMORIST." Rear jacket carries the Phil Donahue memorial-service tribute and the barcode block printed "ISBN 0-8362-2684-4" with "9780836226843" and "52295." Front flap priced "$22.95 U.S.A. ($31.95 Canada)" with an Ellen Goodman blurb. Interior spread photographed incl
