Artist Biography Roland Piché (born 1938) is a Canadian-born British abstract artist and sculptor. Educated at Hornsey College of Art and the Royal College of Art in London, he worked as an assistant to Henry Moore before establishing an international reputation for his abstract sculptures and prints. During the 1960s he exhibited alongside leading British modernists at the influential Whitechapel Gallery's "New Generation" exhibition, and his work entered major museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, the Tate, and the São Paulo Museum of Art. His paintings, sculptures, and graphic works are recognized for their bold geometric language and refined abstract compositions.
