Two Southern folk art face jugs. The left jug by Mary and Stanley Ferguson of Gillsville, Georgia features a glossy dark tobacco-brown glaze, broad flat ears, deeply sculpted eyes with concentric details, and an open mouth with sharp white ceramic. The right jug by North Carolina potter Walter Fleming features a distinctive swirl-clay body with diagonal brown and cream marbling, blue eyes,, and a wide grin with ceramic teeth resting above lower lip.
