The 2011 United States Mint Presidential $1 Coin Proof Set, four coins in one sealed lens over the amber Treasury seal insert. The presidents are Andrew Johnson, Ulysses S. Grant, Rutherford B. Hayes and James Garfield, whose term in 1881 lasted about six months. All four recesses are filled and the coins are bright cameo proofs with mirrored fields, no haze, no milk spots, no fingerprints. The lens shows light hairline scuffing on the upper outer plastic and no crack. The Certificate of Authenticity is present in the photographs. The outer box is present but marked: a white abrasion and print loss streak runs down the left center of the black front panel, with scuffed corners and white board at the upper left. That damage is cardboard, not coin. The history is a program ending. 2011 was the last year these dollars were struck for circulation, after about $1.4 billion in unwanted dollars piled up in Federal Reserve vaults. Clad, no silver. Estimated Value: $15 to $25. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors. Please review all photos before bidding.
