This is the first volume of the cardboard tri-fold United States Commemorative Statehood Quarters Collector's Album, 1999 through 2003, and it is a different book from the two Volume II albums in this sale. It holds the first twenty five states, Delaware through Arkansas, with two slots per state so a Philadelphia and a Denver coin could be paired. All fifty slots are filled with no empty holes, though a full book here means the volume is full, not that the fifty state series is complete. The coins are clad Washington quarters, circulated, gray with light tan toning. The Georgia quarter in the lower 1999 row carries a small dark greenish spot near the peach; it is too small to call corrosion with confidence, so study photo three. Statehood quarters carry no silver. The 1999 issues had the lowest mintages of the series because the Mint was still guessing at demand. Estimated Value: $14 to $22. Sold as-is.
