This authentic oil on canvas painting by listed Canadian artist Pierre Labrecque (born 1951) is titled on the reverse "La Grande Ferme, Village de Baie St-Paul, Charlevoix, Québec" and features his signature in script on both the front and back. The artwork showcases Labrecque's distinctive post-impressionist approach, characterized by bold palette-knife work, rich impasto texture, and a vivid play of light across a snowy Charlevoix landscape. Born in 1951, Pierre Labrecque is a celebrated Quebec impressionist landscape painter who established studios in Trois-Rivières and the famous art enclave of Baie-Saint-Paul. He was elected to the Institut des Arts Figuratifs in 1987 and holds membership with the Académie Internationale des Beaux-Arts du Québec. His work focuses heavily on the historic architecture and rolling terrain of the Charlevoix region, an area deeply tied to Canadian landscape history. Housed in a high-end gold-gilt molded wood frame with a fabric liner, the canvas remains in excellent original condition with tight tension and fully intact impasto texture. The frame shows light handling wear consistent with display and is fully ready to hang.
