Presented framed. Provenance: From a private collection. According to verbal history supplied by the previous owner, the work was discovered in the garage of a residence in Seville, Spain, in 1998 and subsequently retained in private hands. Visual Description: This enigmatic interior presents an open golden door separating a darkened space from a brightly illuminated room. A shadowed female figure emerges from the darkness at left, while a seated man gestures toward a small childlike figure standing on a raised platform in the adjoining room. Above them, a framed desert landscape contains an elongated spoon-like form casting a long shadow beside a small sculptural object. Strong architectural lines, abrupt shifts in scale, isolated figures, and precisely rendered objects create an atmosphere of psychological tension and dreamlike uncertainty.
