R Serial # 7845S. 6.5x53R caliber bolt action rifle with a 31” barrel. The bore is fair, it is dark with visible rifling with heavy frosting/fouling. Made in 1911. Similar in design to the 1888 Commission rifle. The metal finish on the barrel is a rusty dark grayish brown patina. The metal finish on the receiver is in fair condition, it is a worn grayish brown patina with older cleaned surface rust. The magazine box and trigger guard is a brownish patina with edge wear and scattered light rust. The rifle is mis-matched. The walnut stock and handguard are in fair military condition showing numerous dents and dings and scratches with finish wear. No cracks or serious damage. The stock has a faint Hembrug 1911 cartouche on the right side of the butt. Steel butt plate. The action works OK. Required a loading clip which is not included. Made from 1895-1940.
