A Canon Canonet 28 35mm film rangefinder camera set. The camera features a fixed Canon 40mm f/2.8 lens with an integrated leaf shutter. The top plate is engraved with the model name Canonet 28 and the manufacturer name Canon. The lens barrel includes markings for aperture settings including an automatic mode and manual settings from f/2.8 to f/16, alongside focus distance scales in both metres and feet. The camera body is constructed with silver-tone metal top and bottom plates and a black textured grip. The set includes a Canon Canolite D electronic flash unit with a hot-shoe mount, accompanied by its original cardboard retail box and a black vinyl protective case. Also included is a black leatherette ever-ready style half-case with an integrated black nylon neck strap and an original black plastic push-on lens cap featuring an embossed Canon logo. Dimensions: Camera body width approx. 10 cm (Measured from a visible ruler). Condition: The camera and flash unit appear in good vintage cosmetic condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. The lens cap shows visible scuffing and surface scratches, and the camera case exhibits light wear to the edges. Viewfinder and rangefinder windows appear clear. The mechanical and optical components, including the shutter function, have not been tested.
