A pair of vintage hardcover reference books published by the National Geographic Society. The first volume is Men, Ships, and the Sea, featuring contributions by Captain Alan Villiers and others, with a copyright date of 1973. The illustrated endpapers are titled The Anatomy of a Sailing Ship. The second volume is Wild Animals of North America. It is a 1971 fifth printing with revisions and an original 1960 copyright.
