A group of four vintage children's nature books from the Books for Young Explorers series published by the National Geographic Society. All volumes in this lot carry a 1973 copyright date and feature educational content supported by the society's signature photography and color illustrations. The titles include Honeybees by Jane Lecht, Pandas by Donna K. Grosvenor, NAMU: Making Friends with a Killer Whale by Ronald M. Fisher, and How Animals Hide by Robert M. McClung. Height: 11.25 inchesWidth: 9 inchesThe collection is in good vintage condition with the general character of shelf wear. Minor surface scuffing is present on the pictorial covers. A small dark smudge is visible on the front cover of the NAMU volume near the diver figure and on the yellow rear cover of the Honeybees volume. There is visible bumping and light rubbing to the corners and spine edges of all volumes. The interior pages appear clean and well-preserved with no visible foxing or significant tears.
