An oil painting on wood panel depicting a mother and child in a Neoclassical embrace after Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun. Signed Barry d'ap Lebrun at the lower right, the panel also features an impressed Parisian supplier mark for A.C. Champagne on the verso. The work is housed in a dark-stained wood frame with a spindle-and-bead interior border.Frame: 8 1/8 x 5 1/2 inchesPanel: 6 3/8 x 3 5/8 inches.The painting shows surface grime, yellowed varnish, and scattered paint losses, notably on the red sash and background. The frame exhibits minor surface wear and small chips consistent with age.
