1962 Mattel Tiny Chatty Baby Doll with Clothes

Original 1962 Mattel Tiny Chatty Baby doll, about 15 inches tall. Molded on her upper back: TINY CHATTY BABY, TINY CHATTY BROTHER, copyright 1962 Mattel, Inc., Hawthorne, Calif., U.S.A., U.S. Pat. 3,017,187, Patented in Canada 1962. Brunette rooted hair, blue sleep eyes with real lashes, soft vinyl head on a hard plastic body. She wears her original turquoise sleeveless top with lace trim and a white bib embroidered Tiny Chatty Baby with a bird, over blue and white striped bloomers. Also included: (1) a woven straw hat with brown band and red silk flower, (2) a pink felt bonnet with white lining and tie strings, (3) a pink felt coat. The talker pull string is present. Condition is fair to good for the age. Vinyl is clean with good color and strong face paint, but the outfit shows light staining and age, the hair is thin and dry at the crown, and the talker is untested and not represented as working. Authenticity has not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $30 to $60 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
