Manufactured by Carl Zeiss in Jena, Germany, this 6x Silvamar model field glass features classic early-to-mid 20th-century optical styling. Stamped markings on the upper prism cover plates include the lens-style logo "CARL ZEISS JENA" alongside the model designation "SILVAMAR", serial number "188936", and magnification power "6X". Brass screws secure the black end covers to the main body. The binoculars measure 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (11.4 cm H x 16.5 cm W) and weigh 641 grams (1 lb6.6 oz). Featuring textured brown pebbled leatherette coverings, the frame exhibits smooth central hinge tension and slightly stiff individual diopter adjustments. Lenses remain in very good optical condition with no internal defects observed. Repainting is present across the metal frame elements and end caps, while the main barrels and textured body wrap retain their factory finish.
