This is a post-war West German 5-liter steel fuel/oil canister manufactured by commercial maker Siegas. Weighing 2,910 grams (6.42 lbs) and measuring 14 in H x 11.5 in W x 4.25 in D (35.6 cm H x 29.2 cm W x 10.8 cm D), the canister features the embossed "Siegas" logo within an "X" panel. Designed for civilian automotive and workshop use rather than military issue, it incorporates top and side folding wire handles, bottom resting studs, an olive-green paint finish, and a cam-locking cap. In good vintage condition with light surface wear, scuffing, and minor paint loss with light oxidation along high-contact edges. The cap and folding handles function properly.
