This large-format bound volume contains the complete run of "Olympia Zeitung: Offizielles Organ der XI. Olympischen Spiele 1936 in Berlin," published by Reichssportverlag, Berlin. Comprising every issue from Number 1 (July 21, 1936) through August 1936, it served as the official daily newspaper of the 1936 Olympic Games. The publication features detailed coverage of athletic events, extensive rotogravure photography of the Olympic village, venues, and ceremonies, and period reporting on athletic highlights such as Jesse Owens' four gold medal victories. Multilingual captions reflect its role for an international audience. The original beige cloth boards display blue-stamped titles and the Olympic rings, with significant moisture damage and cloth loss to the rear board and spine. Despite exterior wear, all interior issues remain complete, clean, and legible, making this set a primary source for research on the 1936 Games and its historical context. Measures 17.5 x 12.5 inches. GE/SW
