This studio art pottery stoneware vase features a bulbous body with wide shoulders and a short neck. The vessel is finished with a dark, high-gloss iron-saturated glaze on the upper portion, contrasting with a matte, textured crawl glazein mottled tones of sage green and ochre below. The underside shows a recessed dark clay foot with an incised monogram RI over a cross symbol and the number 13. Approximately 5 1/4 inches tall by 7 inches wide.The vessel is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. The irregular surface texture, including glaze crawling and color variations, are intentional artistic features and not defects.
