An Impressionist harbor scene in Gloucester, Massachusetts, executed in oil on canvas by Eric Kahn. The composition depicts a harbor teeming with sailboats viewed through trees and a white picket fence. The artist uses a thick impastotechnique throughout. It is signed E. KAHN in dark paint at the lower right and inscribed ERIC KAHN and GLOUCESTER on the stretcher verso. 14.5 x 19.5 inches.The painted surface is in good condition with no visible losses or craquelure. The tiered wooden frame shows minor nicks and finish wear along the edges. The verso canvas is clean with minor oxidation to the staples.
