Signed Modernist Winter Village Oil Painting Framed oil on canvas depicting a colorful winter village scene, rendered in a bold modernist style with expressive brushwork and areas of heavy impasto. The composition features brightly colored houses nestled along a snow-covered roadway, with tall trees and distant hills beneath a vivid blue sky. Rich shades of turquoise, yellow, ochre, burgundy and blue create a striking contrast against the snow-covered landscape. Signed in the lower right corner; artist's signature is not legible. The verso retains a yellow Marquis Art and Frame gallery label, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Presented in a silver-gilt frame. Overall dimensions approximately 28 1/2 x 28 1/2 inches. Condition: Painting surface appears stable with no visible paint loss. Frame exhibits minor surface and shelf wear consistent with age and display.
