A winter landscape executed in watercolor and gouache on textured paper, signed in the lower right corner, FREMONT F. ELLIS. The composition features a white farmhouse and outbuilding nestled among bare trees, with long shadows cast acrossa snow-covered road. The work is presented under glass in a dark-stained wood frame with a wide gray mat. Frame: 22 x 26 inches Watercolor: 14 x 18 1/2 inches.Good overall condition. The paper exhibits significant mat burn and toning along the perimeter of the mat opening, with several small spots of foxing in the upper right quadrant of the sky (photo 2).
