5 Pieces Pablo Picasso "Toros y Toreros" (1959/Published 1961) Lithographic Prints, Bullfighting Series. Originally created in 1959 and published in 1961 by Harry N. Abrams, New York, in collaboration with Editions Cercle d'Art, Paris. This group showcases Picasso's powerful and expressive interpretation of the Spanish bullfighting tradition, blending abstraction with figuration. The compositions feature matadors, horses, bulls, and haunting human forms rendered in bold ink washes and spontaneous line work. Several plates include dated notations from 1959 within the image, reflecting Picasso's original working chronology for the series. The works exemplify Picasso's late style, fluid, gestural, and emotionally charged, capturing both the spectacle and tension of the corrida.
