10 Piece Pablo Picasso lithographs from the celebrated series "Toros y Toreros" (1961), a powerful visual exploration of the Spanish bullfight. All sheets printed on front and back except one. This body of work reflects Picasso’s lifelong fascination with the drama, ritual, and symbolism of the corrida. Rendered in a spontaneous ink wash / lithographic style, these compositions capture the energy of the arena through gestural brushwork and stark contrasts. The images depict matadors, picadors on horseback, charging bulls, and the surrounding spectacle, reduced to their most expressive forms in true Picasso fashion. Originally published in 1961 in collaboration with writer Luis Miguel Dominguin, "Toros y Toreros" stands as one of Picasso’s most iconic thematic series. These prints are after the original works and retain the immediacy and intensity of the artist’s hand. Each sheet bears a Picasso signature and signature in the plate, along with dates within the compositions referencing the late 1950s, consistent with the imagery used in the 1961 publication. Artist: Pablo Picasso Title/Series: "Toros y Toreros" Date of Original Work: 1961 Medium: Offset lithograph / reproduction Style: Ink wash / expressive brush drawing Signature: Signed and signed in plate Quantity: Set of 10 prints Sheet Size: Approx. 15 x 11 inches each Good vintage condition.
