Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881–1973), La Comedie Humaine, 26.1.54, 1954. Original color lithograph from La Comedie Humaine, published in Verve, Vol. VIII, Nos. 29–30, by Editions Verve (Teriade), Paris, 1954, and printed by Mourlot Freres, Paris. The composition depicts a seated woman in brilliant blue costume accompanied by playful monkeys, one presenting an apple, opposite a boldly rendered male figure executed in expressive black washes. Plate dated 26.1.54 upper right and signed in graphite lower right. Printed on wove paper with full margins. Measures 14" x 10.25". Condition Appears to be in very good overall condition with fresh colors, clean margins, and no significant condition issues.
