Charles Addams (American, 1912–1988), Titled Victorian House. Ink and watercolor on paper depicting a whimsical Victorian residence with elaborate Gothic architectural details, steep slate roofs, decorative iron cresting, and a solitary figure peering from a window. Executed with expressive pen work and transparent watercolor washes, the composition reflects the distinctive macabre humor and architectural imagination associated with Charles Addams. Signed lower right Chas Addams. The reverse bears an old gallery stamp reading "Art Gallery New York, 530 West 25th Street, New York, NY 10001." Presented unframed. Condition Minor waviness to paper with light handling wear consistent with age. Reverse exhibits transfer image from media and scattered foxing. Measures 8.25" x 11 5/8".
