A pre-WWII Third Reich era pocket savings bank calendar (Sparkassen-Taschenkalender) issued in 1937 by the Sparkasse der Stadt Osnabrück in Germany. Measuring 4.25 inches high by 3 inches wide, the pocket almanac features a textured softcover stamped in black ink "SPARE 1937" ("SAVE 1937") along with the issuing bank's name. The interior contains printed calendar pages, an educational section depicting period German traffic and road signs (Sperrzeichen, Halteverbot, etc.), and personal diary pages filled with original hand-penciled entries by its original owner, Willi Güth. These entries include personal details, vehicle numbers, family birthdates (Geburtstage), and financial figures. Condition shows extensive period handling and age-consistent wear, including surface staining, foxing, corner rounding, and soil discoloration to the covers, while retaining a complete text block and sound binding.
