Imperial German Victory Avenue Guidebook

This antique softcover publication titled Die Siegesallee: Amtlicher Führer durch die Standbildergruppen, which translates to "The Victory Avenue: Official Guide through the Statue Groups," was published commissioned by the Königlichen Unterrichtsministerium (Royal Ministry of Education) in Berlin. The paper cover features a full-color graphic illustration depicting the statue of Frederick the Great alongside imperial flags and greenery. Inside, the German Fraktur text provides an official historical guide to the marble monuments lining Berlin's famous avenue, complete with black and white photo plates showcasing various sculpted groups such as Margraves Johann I and Otto III. The booklet measures 9 by 6 inches. The paper covers show minor creasing at the corners and light edge wear, while the interior pages exhibit age-appropriate paper toning while remaining complete and firmly bound.
