Produced in Berlin by Oigee Optical Works, this 6x Militär-Modell field glass dates to World War I. Deep oval stampings on the brass prism plates bear the maker logos "OIGEE 6x MILITÄR-MODELL" and "Opt. Industrie m.b.H. OIGEE BERLIN." The center frame bridge is stamped with serial number "2846." The binoculars measure 4 inches high by 6 inches wide (10.2 cm H x 15.2 cm W) and weigh 437 grams (15.4 oz). Constructed with brass end trim and a textured body cover, the unit retains its smooth hingepivot and smooth individual diopter focusing mechanisms. Optics remain in good functional condition with light dust spots throughout both barrels. Finish wear and brassing appear on high points of the factory paint, with a section of textured covering missing on the left body panel. The left eye cup is absent.
