An original 1931 English-language travel guide titled "Grieben's Guide Books Vol. 218: Prague and Environs", published in Berlin by Grieben's Guide Books. Measuring 6.0 by 4.0 inches, this pocket-sized softcover volume was produced during the Weimarera for tourists visiting the First Czechoslovak Republic. The guide contains comprehensive historical itineraries and architectural diagrams, including a floor plan of Karlštejn Castle and advertisements for regional financial institutions such asthe Bohemian Union Bank and Commerz- und Privat-Bank. It retains its original fold-out color map depicting the Environs of Prague (scale 1:60,000). The rear cover features a full-page period illustrated advertisement for Carl Zeiss Jena field glassesand binoculars. Condition exhibits heavy age wear, including pronounced spine splitting, cover creasing, corner rounding, paper toning throughout, and visible tears with paper losses along the margins and corners of the rear cover.
