An original World War II US Army Basic Field Manual FM 21-11: First Aid for Soldiers, published on April 7, 1943, by the US War Department and printed by the United States Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. Prepared under the direction ofthe Commanding General, Army Service Forces, this pocket-sized paper manual measures 7.0 by 4.5 inches. The booklet contains detailed instructional text, step-by-step medical procedures, and photo illustrations covering essential field first aid techniques, including tourniquet application, fracture splinting, burn care, and soldier transport methods (such as the fireman's carry). The top of the front cover bears a period handwritten pencil owner's inscription reading "Eloy Pacheco". Physical condition exhibits heavy field usage and age, including paper toning, cover creasing, surface staining, edge wear, and prominent dog-eared folding to the upper right corners of the interior pages.
