Featuring five German military uniform buttons, including two bright aluminum examples numbered "3," two field-gray aluminum examples numbered “28,” and one bronzed naval button bearing a crowned fouled anchor. The numbered buttons are consistent with shoulder-strap buttons used for unit or company identification. Reverse markings include maker or patent stamps, while the naval example is marked “Extra Fein.” Each measures 3/4 inch in diameter. The buttons retain their loop shanks and show varying finish wear, scratches, oxidation, and handling marks. The naval button has heavier patination with traces of discoloration. A useful assortment for collectors of German military uniforms, naval insignia, and period buttons.
