Dating to World War II, this hand-painted, hollow-molded early-plastic pin depicts a German sailor in a blue jacket, white trousers, sailor collar, neckerchief, and white cap with painted insignia. Issued as a Winterhilfswerk (WHW) donation token, this piece belongs to a series of street campaign pins highlighting various military personnel. A metal pin assembly is mounted on the reverse alongside a circular mold opening, with no visible maker's marks. Measuring 2 inches tall, the figure displays scattered paint loss, light surface scratches, discoloration, and surface soiling. The metal mounting plate and pin hardware exhibit oxidation.
