This World War II German artillery rucksack measures 16.0 by 12.0 inches. Constructed from olive-green canvas, this 1944 pattern features a main drawstring compartment with an interior flap, a central front closure strap with a metal prong buckle, and leather upper reinforcement padding fitted with D-rings and metal hooks for attachment to field gear harness straps. The underside of the rear leather panel is stamped in blue ink with Reichsbetriebsnummer code 0/0676/1009 above a clear 1944 date stamp. The piece displays field use including surface oxidation on metal fittings, leather scuffing, minor canvas soiling, and period zig-zag field darning repairs near the top seam.
