This pair of German military Dienstglas 7x50 binoculars, dating to World War II, were produced by Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar, as confirmed by the "beh" ordnance code and the leather eyepiece rain guard stamped "E. LEITZ WETZLAR 1937." Military markings include "Dienstglas 7x50," serial number 393766, "beh," and cold-climate lubricant codes "O" and "+" on the upper plate. Black metal end plates, green objective band covers, and texturized leatherette body panels are present, with seam lifting visible. The fitted leather neck strap, center bridge button tab, and rain guard remain attached. The center hinge is frozen, diopter focus rings are very stiff, and paint shows wear and scratches, while the lenses maintain clear viewing with minor scratches. The binoculars measure 7.25 inches high by 7.5 inches wide (18.4 cm H x 19.1 cm W) and weigh 834 grams (1 lb 13.4 oz).
