This features an Imperial German Army "Fernglas 08" infantry binocular manufactured by Emil Busch A-G, Rathenow, and accepted in January 1919 according to the "I. 19" stamp, placing it at the end of WWI production. The binoculars display exceptionally clear markings and retain their authentic Field Gray finish. A rare, period-correct canvas service strap is attached. Optically, the set provides a clear and bright view with only mild internal dust spotting. Mechanically, the hinge operates smoothly while individual eye diopters are stiff but remain fully adjustable. These binoculars are accompanied by the original, manufacturer-matched case measuring 5.5" H x 5.0" W (14.0 cm H x 12.7 cm W), which still contains the rare internal paper instruction manual; the left strap of the case is broken at the attachment. The binoculars themselves measure 12.1 cm H x 11.4 cm W (4.75" H x 4.5" W) and weigh 578 g (1 lb 4.4 oz). Both the case and binoculars feature matching Emil Busch markings, and thecase remains sturdy with a highly legible label. PM/OT
